Terms and Conditions
The following General Terms and Conditions govern the contractual relationship between you, our valued guest, and our company.
Our company includes the Edelweiss Almchalets and the Hotel FIRSTpeak Zauchensee (hereinafter referred to as “our company”).
Please take a moment to carefully read the terms below. They contain important information about your stay as well as our mutual rights and obligations.
Scope
These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply to all contracts for the rental of accommodation units, as well as for all related services and deliveries provided by our company.
Conclusion of Contract
A contract between the guest and our company is established as soon as the hotel confirms the guest’s booking.
Booking and Reservation
By accepting an offer created by us, the booking automatically becomes a binding reservation. To secure your reservation, we reserve the right to request a deposit. This must be paid within 14 days of accepting the offer. If the deposit is not received on time, we reserve the right to reassign the accommodation unit.
Please note that by accepting an offer from us, providing your credit card details, or transferring the deposit, you automatically accept our General Terms and Conditions (GTC).
Services and Prices
The contractual services provided by our company are based on the information on our websites and on individual agreements (e.g., individually issued offers). All prices are stated in euros (€) and include statutory VAT.
The local tax (overnight tax) of €2.00 per person per day (from the age of 15) is not included in the price and will be charged additionally on-site. From 01.06.2025, the local tax will increase to €2.50 per person per day. Additionally, from 01.05.2025, a mobility tax of €0.50 per person per day will be charged.
Price Changes and Validity
With the publication of new prices, all previously communicated prices become invalid. We reserve the right to make price changes, printing errors, mistakes, and adjustments to offers. Confirmed reservations and services are not affected by such changes.
Packages and Offers
Packages and offers can be updated, adjusted, or withdrawn at any time without prior notice. However, the conditions valid at the time of booking remain applicable for already confirmed bookings.
Short Stay Surcharge
For short stays of less than three nights, we reserve the right to charge a short stay surcharge of €18 per night per person.
Availability and Responsibility
Discounts, packages, and offers are only valid while stocks last. We assume no responsibility if an offer, package, or discount is sold out between the time of issuance and final booking.
Meals During Your Stay
Your stay can be booked with accommodation only, with breakfast, or with half board. Please note that meals not booked in advance are only available upon request, subject to availability, and at an additional charge. Unused but booked services unfortunately cannot be refunded or reimbursed.
Different Options for Edelweiss Almchalets
Our chalets are primarily self-catering and can therefore only be booked with accommodation. Depending on availability and at an extra cost, we are happy to offer FIRSTpeak services (such as half board and spa access at the hotel) upon request. For promotional reasons, these services may be included in your offer but are not included in the accommodation price and will be charged separately if used.
Early Booking Discount – Validity
Early booking discounts apply uniformly across our company and are valid for 14 days from the date of the offer. After this period, the discount entitlement expires if the booking is not completed in time.
Vouchers
Redeeming Vouchers
Vouchers can only be redeemed for services booked directly with our company. Offsetting them against existing reservations or previously booked services is not possible.
Value vouchers can be redeemed at any time (one voucher per booking).
Vouchers for specific services – such as “SPA Day for 2” or “Breakfast for 4” – can only be redeemed upon prior request and depending on availability.
No Cash Payout
Vouchers are not redeemable for cash and cannot be partially converted into cash.
Combining Discounts
Vouchers and discounts cannot be combined with other promotions, special offers, or discounts. Only one voucher or discount can be redeemed per booking.
Transferability and Validity
Vouchers are transferable and can therefore be used as gifts. Unless a different period is specified on the voucher, the validity is two years from the date of issue.
Loss of Voucher
In case of loss or theft of a voucher, our company assumes no liability and is not obligated to issue a replacement voucher.
Pet Policy
As a general rule, pets are not allowed in our company.
In certain exceptional cases, the bringing of a dog may be permitted upon prior arrangement, provided that specific conditions are met.
Prices per dog & night (excluding food):
1–15 kg: € 20 / night
15–20 kg: € 28 / night
21–25 kg: € 35 / night
Larger dogs (over 25 kg) can only be accommodated in exceptional cases.
Please understand that dogs are not allowed in public areas such as the restaurant and bar and may only enter the hotel via the rear entrance on the 4th floor.
Check-in and Check-out Times
The following check-in and check-out times apply for your stay at Hotel FIRSTpeak Zauchensee:
- Check-in: from 2:00 PM on the day of arrival
- Check-out: by 10:30 AM on the day of departure
Different times apply for the Edelweiss Almchalets:
- Check-in: from 3:00 PM on the day of arrival
- Check-out: by 10:00 AM on the day of departure
We are happy to offer early check-in or late check-out upon request and subject to availability.
Please plan your arrival ideally by 8:00 PM. Please inform us on the day of arrival in advance if you will be arriving after 8:00 PM, so that we can prepare your check-in accordingly and have the necessary documents ready for you.
No-Show Policy
In case of a no-show (non-arrival without prior cancellation), we will charge the full booking amount.
Bookings via Third Parties
For bookings made through third-party providers (e.g., online travel portals or travel agencies), the booking conditions, cancellation policies, and general terms and conditions (GTC), imprint, and all other legal provisions of the respective provider apply.
Please note that our company has no direct influence on the pricing, special offers, or discount campaigns of these third-party providers. These providers have fixed room allotments, which they may offer at prices lower than our regular hotel rates. However, this does not mean that we offer our rooms at these conditions or assume any price guarantees for third-party prices.
We accept no responsibility for how prices are presented or calculated by third-party providers. If the originally displayed price changes during the booking process due to the stay date or number of guests, this is solely the responsibility of the third-party provider. Our company has no control over this and assumes no liability.
For changes or cancellations of bookings made through a third-party provider, please contact the respective provider directly. Our company is not authorized to make changes or cancellations on behalf of the third-party provider.
Cancellations for Bookings via Booking.com
If your reservation was made via Booking.com, we kindly ask you to contact Booking.com directly for cancellations or changes to the reservation.
Payment Terms
Payment can be made in advance, upon arrival, or by individual agreement.
On-site we accept the following payment methods:
- Cash payment
- EC cards
- Credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, JCB, UnionPay, Diner’s Club)
For bookings made via our website, payment by credit card (Visa, MasterCard) or prepayment is possible.
Cancellation Conditions
For our company, the General Terms and Conditions of the Austrian Hotel Industry (AGBH) apply, as well as the cancellation policies stated therein. The complete conditions can be found under AGBs Hotellerie Österreich.
Cancellations are only possible in written form.
- Free cancellation up to 1 month before arrival
- From 1 month to 14 days before arrival: 40% of the total amount
- From 14 days to 7 days before arrival: 70% of the total amount
- In the last week before arrival: 90% of the total amount
- In case of no-show: 100% of the total amount
Dr. Gruber Hotel GmbH also reserves the right to cancel bookings within 24 hours of receipt without providing any reason.
Cancellations and Reservation Changes
Please note that reservations cannot be postponed or rebooked. An existing booking can only be canceled according to our cancellation conditions and then rebooked.
We kindly ask for your understanding that reservation postponements are not possible and such requests cannot be considered.
Cancellation Insurance
To avoid unexpected costs in the event of a cancellation, we recommend taking out travel cancellation insurance. You can easily take this out directly via the following link: europaeische.at
Data Protection
The protection of your personal data is important to us. We process your data in accordance with the applicable data protection laws.
